Aliwan Festival, originally created in 2003, is regarded as
one of the most popular and most grand festivals in the Philippines which attracting both local and global tourists. This festival is annually held in April or May at Pasay, Metro Manila with the intention for showcasing and celebrating the diverse culture amongst the 17 regional locals in Philippines. The locals will enthusiastically compete in cultural street dance competition, float parade and Reyna ng Aliwan (Queen of Entertainment/Amusement) competition. Nowadays, Aliwan festival is dubbed as "the Philippines' Grandest Fiesta," with prizes totaling 70,000 US dollars and hosted by the organization of Manila Broadcasting Company (MBC), Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) and the cities of Manila and Pasay.

Pahiyas festival is undoubtedly one of the most colorful and vibrant religious festivals in the Philippines. This festival objective is to celebrate the plentiful harvest season while honors the saint of farmers, San Isidro de Labrador. Pahiyas festival annually begins on May 15th every year and goes on for a month long. Each house is creatively decorated with local fruits, vegetables, and the Kiping which is rice paper. The exciting thing about Pahiyas festival is that visitors are warmly welcome to grab, taste and enjoy on all decorated fresh fruits and vegetables on local’s home.
Pintados festival, is the cultural religious related festival
in Tacloban city, to show the body painting tradition of
the ancient tattooed “Pintados” warriors. This festival purposely recalls the Pre-Spanish history native Leytenos from wars, epics and folk religions.The festive dancers will paint their faces and bodies in resemble to the ancestral warriors. Then, they will fill up the street of Tacloban and perform the traditional dancing, which is the highlighted performance that travelers keep looking for.
The celebration, formally called Leyte Pintados-Kasadyaan Festival and afterwards known as the "Celebration of Festivals," which held on June 29 every year, which is also the day of the Feast of the Senor Santo Nino de Leyte.
